The information applies to the following Logitech© devices:
All RightSound capable video devices
Issue:
After Installing QuickCam, 9.x or above, MuvAudio recorded files are deteriorated and recorded in "slow-motion". The following anomalies may be observed:
Reason:
This specific issue is related to Logitech’s RightSound Technology. RightSound Technology was designed to improve the audio communication experience and is not optimized for multi-channel audio, games or any advanced audio usage. To provide advanced communications capabilities such as “Echo Cancellation” it has to restrict the way certain audio features are used.
When the AEC feature of QuickCam and supported cameras is enabled, the recorded audio may be restricted causing some audio files recorded by MuvAudio to be deteriorated and playback slower than the original.
Solution:
Disable RightSound technology or the “AEC” feature of QuickCam 9.x and above
After completing the above, please verify that the hardware acceleration slider for all Muv Audio Virtual Cable devices is set to full acceleration.
Adjusting Hardware Acceleration:
Following the steps above should resolve the issue with your recorded files being played in "slow-motion". You will need to re-record the file after making these changes.
