It would be nice if you could set a time and or size limit on the file being created, such that a new file (file02.wma, etc.) would be created each time the size or time limit is reached. With such a feature a large audio book could be broken into managable pieces without the need of another piece of software to break it up and possibly need to re-encode it..

We have added support for splitting based on time (for v1.1). We have a few questions though.
Right now, if you choose to split into multiple tracks, the initial file ends with -1, and then works on through the tracks - # with each new track for the single file that was the original. The question is this, how would you like the tag file modified to show that it is, say, the 14th piece of the set of multiple tracks?
Would you like the title of the track to include the " - 14" in the tag as well?
This would make the most sense as some media players only display the artist - track title of the song. This would allow you to see which number it is out of the set when playing in your favorite media player.
Thanks,

We have actually decided on the following when splitting into multiple tracks:
The filenames will have " - 01 of 54" added before the ".ext".
The tags will have the same appended to the title as well.
The 01 refers to the track number.
The 54 refers to the number of tracks split from the one track.
I hope this satisfies your need.
We do not allow a split based on filesize, only on elapsed time.
Setting split to 10 seconds would create a new track every 10 seconds.
This will be in v1.1.
Thanks again,

So cool, altering the tag to show " -14" is perfect. So by time I assume you mean I can set it to create a new track every x minutes?
Thanks so much.

Thanks so much for adding this feature! Do you have an ETA on version 1.1?

Near the end of July, beginning of August.
The private beta testers will be receiving an email soon to start the testing as we almost have all of the changes and fixes made. We just need to make sure we haven't introduced any new bugs.
Thanks,
