Just droppin' in to check if anything is goin' on with MuvUnder Cover updates? There are a few features I've been waiting on to drop, especially the sidebar. I know John is the man who always responds in the forum, so I expect a few lines. Oh, since I wrote this on the 21st of June, it make sense to say Happy Father's Day to all

You are right. It has been a long time. The bad thing is that time in and of itself is quite short. It's parents must have beat it with a stick when it was first born.
Anyways, the sidebar is still being worked on as are a few other features. We've had some other projects we've been working on (MuvEnum Address Bar Pro v5 which has been finished and now we're shifting more of our focus to MuvAudio with Windows 7 support) but we are also working on MuvUnder Cover. We'll probably do another release soon but it may or may not contain the sidebar(s) depending on the state of everything else that is going on.
So far, we've added Juno Records support along with some bug fixes and we're working on the sidebar(s) as well as the ability to not embed the artwork in the files and instead only save them in the album folders for those that have requested it (default will still be to embed in file).
Thanks again,

I'm bringing a 4 month old thread back to life just so I know if we're gonna have a Christmas gift with the sidebar for MuvUnder. I'm a hardcore user of this program so the better it gets then the faster I get work done with it. As a few of us have wished here, it's for MuvUnder to have some sort of tag editing function integrated with the sidebar. As much I know you guys started this thing to be just a cover program but really I can see MuvUnder become the defacto program for a lot more tag cleaning integration. Right now, I have to juggle in between Tag&Rename and/or TuneUp to get missing info and cleaning then go to MuvUnder for covers. I hope one day I just use MuvUnder for all .

Well, as you may know, I released MuvAudio v3 about a week ago. So now that that is done I'll have more time to work on features for MuvUnder Cover. Hopefully I'll have a Christmas present for you, but I can't promise anything because as Christmas nears, so does the hectic holiday rush. I'll probably release some of the sidebar stuff in pieces as I implement it so I can get feedback on each piece before committing to the next.
I'm not dead, only resting from the development of MuvAudio v3 so that I don't die...

I'm awake. Still working through some ideas for MuvUnder Cover. The hardest part is deciding what not to add to the software that in the end would detract from the simplicity. Things are coming, not sure when, but they are coming.

No, it's still a work in progress without an ETA.

18 months later, checking in. Is an update still in the works? Or did I somehow miss it?
thanks John

@riverrat Man, I had to get familiar with "ETA" because so many software developers threw it at me throughout times. I got to realize that once that word is said, it's almost that easy way of saying "don't count on it". So, once I saw John wrote that " it's still a work in progress without an ETA." I was like oh noooo!! "ETA", I knew I had to forget about it. MuvUnder Cover could have and should have been a dominant force in cover software, expanding it to do some Tag cleaning would make the program even more useful and eliminate the need to use, yet, another program for tags. Unfortunately, I guess, John's priority is somewhere else. Well, riverrat, good luck on waiting for the "update"
