MuvAudio 3 looks great so far. Good work! On to my question...

My wife's a big Mac fan, so our primary desktop is an OSX machine. I've got a Win7 partition that I use for all of my Windows needs, one of which being MuvAudio and a Zune Pass subsciption. Zune Pass is awesome for my Zune, but my wife has an iPod so we convert music so she can listen too. Anyway, long story short, I'd like to allow her download and convert her own music with as few steps as possible. I can run MuvAudio at Windows startup, but is there an easy way to have it launch in Watch Folder mode? Thanks!

Brian

If you run MuvAudio.WPF.exe from the command line with the argument -? it will show you the command line options it supports.

One of the options is:

-w, --watchfolders 0 to many values accepted String A list of folders to watch for files to convert. Using this option will automatically start watching the folders with your current MuvAudio Settings.

So you can set the startup shortcut to add -w "folder path" and it should automatically start watching that folder on startup.

Let me know how this works for you and if you find any issues with the watch folder feature.

A quick question, are you able to see the "MuvAudio3" forum group? I noticed this is in MuvAudio2 and wanted to make sure MuvAudio3 was visible to all users.

Glad you're liking the new release. :)

Thanks,

Wow, that's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! Fast reply too :) I'll try it in the next day or two and let you know how it works out.

I was wondering about the forums because, no, I can't see a MuvAudio3 subforum. I figured you just hadn't gotten around to it yet.

That seems to have done the trick.

Not a big deal, but out of curiousity is there a way to disable the "Watch Folder mode has been initiated....will begin in 30 seconds...cancel?..Y/N"? I'd like the process to be totally transparent if possible, but again, no big deal. It's awesome that you have this functionality already in place.

I'll look into adding another flag that should try to run it silently and force it to not show the message.

Thanks for the suggestion.

An a side note, that message shows for 30 seconds and then should automatically close and start with watching the folders specified if no choice is selected.
