a) the soundcard settings change even after i reset them according to instructions...they change to one of the vac cables and recordings fail
b) how do you turn the scrolling off in wmp etc so tagging works as stated?

Are you running MuvAudio v1.x or MuvAudio2?
WMP Scrolling shouldn't affect the tagging, and what do you mean by "works as stated"?
